On Friday afternoon we were able to head to our new house to bring some little and fragile items we didn't want the movers to have to move. Here is Ryan and I opening the door for the very first time!
Friday also happened to be Ryan's birthday so his parents took us to a great Italian restaurant we love. Then we went back to our old house to open gifts and enjoy some delicious red velvet cake...
The movers came bright and early Saturday morning and they rolled out the red carpet at our new house. They were absolutely amazing and got everything to our new place in about 3 hours. As you can see, I was super excited!
We even got our first official piece of mail - of course it's probably a Verizon bill already...
After a few hours of unpacking and getting settled, we enjoyed our first happy hour on the deck with our parents. We couldn't have done it without their help and are so grateful they could share our special day with us!
On Sunday, the joys of home ownership hit when we had to venture to Lowe's to pick up a lawn mower, weed whacker, paint supplies, extension cords, etc.
But we realize all the hard work is paid off when we get to watch the sunset every night in our own sunroom!
I decided to take Monday off to finish unpacking and have some worker men come to our house. I'm really looking forward to working out and eating healthy again - to start the week off right, I went for a morning walk around our new neighborhood. Everyone is so friendly and we're really looking forward to making our house our home!
