A Fresh Coat of Paint!

So, it's been far too long and life's been far too busy!

This past weekend we had Monday off so we decided to do as much as possible around the house.  We have been talking a long time about repainting some rooms around the house but the thought of just finding the right color sounded exhausting.  But something inspired us and we painted the Living Room, Kitchen, and Guest Bathroom in about 5 days!  We think it looks amazing and so much brighter!

Don't get me wrong, it's exhausting picking out colors and I'm now friends with the Benjamin Moore owner.....but here's what we settled on - Cream Fleece in the Living Room and Bleeker Beige in the Kitchen and Guest Bath.

Quite a huge change from the dark green and red colors that were in the rooms before.  Once we get everything back on the walls, I'll do some before-and-after shots.

This weekend we Ryan also installed a new Storm Door on the front door.  The old one didn't have the glass all the way to the bottom (poor puppy!) and it always slammed when we closed the door.  Our spoiled little puppy now has his new favorite spot in the house!

The new paint and front door just wasn't enough for me so we went on the hunt to find some new cozy carpets for the house.  The little pup also approves of this new HomeGoods rug! 

 

I originally bought this charcoal rug for the living room but it felt better once I moved it into the sun-room.

After this busy weekend, I think we're just about all out of energy to do any more home improvements for a while.  Now we hope to just relax, enjoy the summer, and some time together (finally!) ;)
