Cape Cod Remodel - Concrete Poured and Picking Out Plumbing Fixtures

Well, I've decided that I'm not good at remembering to upload updates!  Maybe I'll get better as this journey continues...

So major updates on Week 2 of the project - the concrete has been poured (front portico, back patio, and footings for the entertainment room).

On Saturday, we also went shopping for the first time for plumbing fixtures.  Who knew that plumbing fixtures would be the first thing we'd have to pick out and order?  The builder needs to know what type of shower, faucet, etc. we're picking in order to install the right "diverters" and "mixers" before the walls are sealed up.

So, off to Furguson's we went...

We narrowed down that we wanted a widespread faucet (shown above) for the master bathroom, a shower with a normal shower head and a separate side bar handheld piece, large single basin sink for the kitchen, and I fell in love with these Berch Oxford 3 cabinets for the kitchen.  We would get a lighter color but the style...oh, I'm in love!

Then we went to the tile place next door to get ideas for the kitchen backsplash, master bathroom, guest bathroom, and mudroom.  You guys...tile is not my thing.  I have no idea where to even start!

But it was very helpful we did all this background work this past weekend because last night we had a fixture representative come to our house and we picked all the kitchen and bathroom fixtures.  We'll hopefully get those ordered sometime this week so the builder has everything he needs to move things forward.

This week, we're framing the entertainment room and possibly more demo of the kitchen.  Can't wait!
