Cape Cod Remodel: Framing Complete!

Wow, it's been far too long since I updated with some photos.  The builder worked hard through the holidays - we even stopped by on Christmas Eve and his guys were working.  We've been pretty blessed with a warm winter (so far!) so they have the entire house under roof now...

These photos above show the 2nd story dormers, framed second bedroom (where our master used to be), and our new master suite!  The windows were installed the first week of January 2016.

Here's a photo of the front entrance view.  It's nice and open and you can now see through to part of the kitchen...

And the picture right above is looking from our back deck doors into the kitchen.  We love how open the first floor feels.  It's great to see through to the front door.  I can't wait until the stair railings are installed and I can hang cute little holiday stockings from it next year!  So exciting!

Now's the slow, hard part of this entire process - the HVAC installation, plumbing, and deciding on all the final finishes.  We're supposed to wrap up in just over 3 months.  I'm amazed at how much work's been done to this point but we still have a LOT more to do!

Here's to hoping we're back in our cozy home by Spring!  Oh, speaking of that...we're expecting an "epic" snow storm this weekend.  Let's hope this doesn't mess with the schedule too much!
